Every now and then you see or hear things that make you nervous, or take you out of your comfort zone.
This first happened this past Sunday evening at church while watching Epicenter. Epicenter is a documentary by Joel Rosenberg with a biblical perspective on the current events in the Middle East and how this is tied into the prophetic writings of Ezekiel. Chilling.
The second time this happened was today when I received an email from a youth pastor with a link to a podcast of Voddie Baucham, with the message“Buckle down!! He brings it straight and true”. At a Southern Baptist of Texas State Evangelism Conference in 2006 Voddie cuts “straight to the heart of the crisis in contemporary Evangelicalism. Powerful, painful and timely as my wife and I evaluate the current direction and effectiveness of the college and career class we are currently teaching.
Please take the time to listen to Voddie with an open heart and mind and please share your own thoughts on the current state of youth ministry and what we can do to minister to the youth and young adults.
